In 2018 I joined the Lacey Township Preschool team and began teaching PSD -Preschool Disabled and Inclusion. Once again I fell in love with preschool as well as my new district and my amazing new team. I immediately signed up at Kean University to complete my masters in Special Education and in May 2021 I will finally graduate. My aim is to hang my hat at the Lacey School District and be a foundational part of a growing early childhood program is a community oriented district.

Inspired by my overwhelming love for Books, Books and more Books along with the need for some funding in the Preschool Program where I taught, I helped to coordinate a book fair to raise money and help get us BOOKS!!
The theme of the book fair was Circus. My class kicked off the decorating for this event by creating a hallway filled with clowns. The Book fair was a HUGE success.

UNDER THE SEA
This exploration of the deep blue sea resulted in a sensational Art Showcase created and inspired by 26 preschool students ranging in age from 3-5 years old. This show was a fantastic educational way to keep students excited and engaged all the way until the end of the year! Each project was relevant to the current curriculum we were learning and offered the opportunity to introduce students to a variety of different mediums, skills and artistic techniques. Constructing this lighthouse out of paper mache was by far everyone's favorite task. We began the lighthouse on Earth Day and worked for one month to complete it. The Light house was a center students could work in during choice time and the students happily responded. Throughout the month someone was always happy to be working on this masterpiece.

IN CELEBRATION OF EARTH DAY WE DISCUSSED THE 3 R'S -REDUCE -REUSE AND RECYCLE. IN THE NAME OF RECYCLING WE BEGIN TO CREATE THIS LIGHTHOUSE OUR OF NEWSPAPER, FLOUR, CARDBOARD AND SOME TAPE. THE CHILDREN WE ALL VERY EXCITED AS THE BRAVE FEW DARED TO STICK HEIR HANDS IN THE "GOOEY GOO." TOGETHER WE TURNED NEWSPAPER, FLOUR AND PAINT INTO AN ARTISTIC MASTERPIECE.

WHEN IT CAME TIME TO PAINT THIS BEAUTY AS A CLASS WE RESEARCHED A VARIETY OF LIGHTHOUSES. THE STUDENTS VOTED ON OLD BARNEY AS OUR INSPIRATION FOR PAINTING. STUDENTS WERE SO EXCITED THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO DECIDE WHAT LIGHTHOUSE THEY WOULD CREATE.
